Network Without Network at Arrábida Convent

On the 29th and 30th of May, a training session for young people from peripheral neighborhoods took place at the Arrábida Convent, donated for this purpose by the Fundação Oriente. With the coordination of Dr. António Vitorino and Eng. Luisa Valle and the collaboration of Dr. Carlos Gaspar from Fundação Oriente and Dr. Jorge Miranda from Amadora City Council, a training event for young leaders from peripheral neighborhoods was prepared. 14 young people from 6 municipalities – Porto, Santa Maria da Feira, Amadora, Loures, Sintra and Seixal -, 4 girls and 10 boys attended this training workshop, called “REDE SEM REDE”, which was organized by the NGO TESE. , aged between 16 and 24 years. The proposed objectives were: to give opportunity to young people, from problematic contexts, and other participants, to express themselves and get in contact with different realities and learning; empower and encourage leadership.
