On the 29th and 30th of May a training session was held for young people from outlying districts, in the Arrábida Convent, provided for this purpose by Fundação Oriente.
With the coordination of Dr. António Vitorino and Eng. Luisa Valle and the collaboration of Dr. Carlos Gaspar of the Oriente Foundation and Dr. Jorge Miranda of the Municipality of Amadora, an event was organized to train young leaders from peripheral neighborhoods. A total of 14 young people from 6 municipalities – Porto, Santa Maria da Feira, Amadora, Loures, Sintra and Seixal – were present at the training workshop, called “NETWORK WITHOUT NETWORK”. 4 girls and 10 boys , aged between 16 and 24 years. The proposed objectives were: to give young people from problematic contexts and other participants the opportunity to express themselves and to come into contact with different realities and learning; empower and encourage leadership.
