The project “AmpliArte – culture and social intervention” has as a global objective to contribute to the transformation of attitudes and behaviors of young people and to the promotion of the relationship of young people from different cultural backgrounds and with different life paths.

The project results from a partnership between Oeiras City Council (CMO) and Companhia de Actores (CDA), and was implemented in two municipal districts: Outurela-Portela, in the parish of Carnaxide, and Navegadores, in the parish of Porto Salvo. By extending the artistic and creative potential of young people, respecting their cultural references and valuing them, the project aims to increase the range of possibilities for expression and positive development as active citizens, aiming to broaden their integration potential in Portuguese society. Taking as its pedagogical basis social responsibility, the AmpliArte project aims to bring the values learned during the training to the students. This project is the result of several actions with a social intervention character, implemented in the Municipality of Oeiras, in recent years, by CDA in partnership with CMO. The “Atelier de Iniciação Teatral”, with young people from the neighborhood of Outurela-Portela, in 2006, resulted in the show “Feet on the Floor – Institute of Child Support. With this action, the CDA continued its work in the area of social integration through education through art, so with students who stayed in the studio and others who entered, they led to a new show, based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights , “Fiat Lux – An Act of Creation”. Running in two neighborhoods, AmpliArte sought, in the neighborhood of the Navigators, where it began in 2007, in a first phase, to awaken, recognize and enhance artistic skills. In the neighborhood of Outurela-Portela, as the group already had an initial training, the objective of the second phase in 2007 was to provide the trainees with tools that would allow them to be more effective in their integration into the labor market. The training was organized for five months, focusing on theater, dance, singing and video. The recipients of these projects were young people between the ages of twelve and twenty-five whose origin was shared between Angola, Cape Verde and Portugal. The total value of the project was 25 thousand Euros, and was financed in its entirety by the Municipality of Oeiras. The recipients of these projects were young people between the ages of twelve and twenty-five whose origin was shared between Angola, Cape Verde and Portugal. The total value of the project was 25 thousand Euros, and was financed in its entirety by the Municipality of Oeiras. The recipients of these projects were young people between the ages of twelve and twenty-five whose origin was shared between Angola, Cape Verde and Portugal. The total value of the project was 25 thousand Euros, and was financed in its entirety by the Municipality of Oeiras.
